Week 13 in the college football world will have major implications on the BCS standings for the rest of the season. Thanks to Thanksgiving, we'll have a head start on the important games this week as well. Three of the top four teams in the BCS standings play on Friday this week - and they all faced ranked opponents.
↵The top-ranked Oregon Ducks host the Arizona Wildcats, who are ranked 20th in the AP and BCS polls. The Ducks are coming off a bye week, but prior to that, they are coming off their least impressive win of the season, squeaking past California 15-13. Arizona has lost back-to-back games, losing to Stanford and USC before their bye week in Week 12. While the Wildcats are a fairly quality opponent, it's tough to see the Ducks losing.
↵The No. 2 team in the BCS rankings faces their toughest test of the year on Friday in the Iron Bowl. The Auburn Tigers head to Tuscaloosa to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide, who are ninth in the AP and 11th in the BCS. With all the controversy surrounding Cam Newton and the game being played in Tuscaloosa, it's not a stretch to predict Auburn to finally fall on Friday. Alabama are actually 4.5 or 5 point favorites in this game depending on where you look.
↵Boise State, who are still behind TCU in the BCS standings, take on their last ranked opponent of the year, travelling to take on No. 19 Nevada. If Boise wins, they are almost certainly going to leap over TCU in the next BCS standings. Despite taking on a ranked Nevada team, Boise are still two touchdown favorites to win the game. While anything is possible in college football, Nevada isn't likely to help TCU out and win this game.
↵TCU travels to New Mexico to take on a team that has only one win on the season. The Horned Frogs will almost certainly win convincingly, but they'll definitely need two of the teams above to lose to have any chance at playing in the BCS title game.
