BCS Rankings Week 13: TCU Remains Third

The Week 13 BCS rankings were released on Sunday night, and despite the bye week, the TCU Horned Frogs remained third. The Oregon Ducks and Auburn Tigers remained No. 1 and No. 2 in the rankings, on pace to play in the BCS National Championship game in January.

Boise State, despite their 51-0 shutout of Fresno State on Friday night, remains fourth in the BCS rankings behind TCU. The Broncos still have a ranked opponent left on the schedule against Nevada, and a win over them may be enough to lift them past TCU in the final BCS rankings.

TCU will conclude their regular season this Saturday as they take on New Mexico. The Horned Frogs will need to win and win convincingly to have hope of playing in the BCS National Championship game.

Both TCU and Boise could move up this week in the standings. Auburn will face Alabama on Friday in Tuscaloosa, the toughest matchup for Auburn so far this year. The controversy around Cam Newton could be a distraction to the Tigers as well.

Oregon has two games remaining. They'll face No. 21 Arizona on Friday before ending their regular season against Oregon State on December 4.

Oklahoma State is the highest ranked Big 12 team, coming in at ninth in the rankings. The Oklahoma Sooners are 13th, Nebraska Cornhuskers 15th and Texas A&M Aggies 17th, rounding out the Big 12's representation in the BCS rankings.
