College Football Rankings Week 13: TCU Fourth, Texas A&M Moves Up One Spot

The latest college football rankings are out and things aren't looking great for Texas teams.

The TCU Horned Frogs, as expected, remain fourth in both polls. The Horned Frogs were on a bye week this week, so no change was expected as Oregon and Auburn were both on byes. Boise State blew out Fresno State 51-0 on Friday, a win that is sure to impress voters. Boise State remains third in both the AP and USA Today polls, ahead of TCU.

The worst news for TCU might have come out of Florida yesterday as the Miami Hurricanes lost to the Virginia Tech Hokies. The win clinched a place in the ACC Title game for Virginia Tech, and they rose in the polls to 13th in the AP poll and 14th in the USA Today poll. This makes Boise State's win over the Hokies in Week 1 look much more impressive.

There is another Texas team in the top 25 besides TCU. The Texas A&M Aggies climbed one spot in each poll, despite beating a top 10 Nebraska team in College Station last night. The Aggies are now ranked No. 17 in the AP poll and No. 18 in the USA Today poll, up one spot in each poll from last week. Nebraska, despite losing to the Aggies, are ranked 16th in the AP poll and 15th in the USA Today poll - ahead of the Aggies in both. Texas A&M has three losses on the year compared to Nebraska's two, but it's still surprising to see the Aggies climb only one spot despite a win against a top 10 team.

The BCS rankings will be released later tonight.
