College Football Rankings: TCU Falls Behind Boise State

TCU's anemic second half appears to have cost them despite hanging on for the win. In the latest USA Today poll, the Horned Frogs were dropped to No. 4 behind the Boise State Broncos, who defeated Idaho soundly on Friday. TCU also dropped to fourth in the AP Poll, behind Boise State.

The top two remain unchanged. Despite the narrow win, Oregon is the top-ranked team according to the USA Today poll. Auburn remains second after defeating Georgia to clinch their place in the SEC title game.

Wisconsin, LSU, Ohio State, Nebraska, Stanford and Oklahoma State round out the top 10.

With no ranked opponents left on the schedule for the Horned Frogs, they'll need more help than they figured they would a week ago to sneak into the National Championship game. TCU doesn't play again until November 27 when they finish the regular season at New Mexico.

Boise State has three games left: against Fresno State, at No. 21 Nevada before wrapping up the season at home against Utah State. Oregon will face Arizona on November 26 before finishing up the season at Oregon State. Auburn will head to Tuscaloosa to take on the Crimson Tide in the Iron Bowl on  November 26.

The Tigers seem to have the best chance to lose against a tough Crimson Tide team. Still, it looks like TCU will need two of Auburn, Oregon and Boise State to lose, so a loss by Auburn may not be enough to sneak Boise State into the BCS National Championship game.
