So Cliff Lee was awesome today for Texas in their Game 1 win, striking out 10 in seven innings and giving up just one run.
↵Roy Halladay just threw the second no hitter in postseason history, issuing only a walk to Jay Bruce. Philadelphia of course traded Cliff Lee in conjunction with acquiring Halladay last winter.
↵The entire MLB should be extremely thankful that the Phillies punted on Lee when they picked up Halladay. Granted, the Phillies traded for Roy Oswalt who is no slouch either but the Phillies could easily have had Halladay/Lee/Hamels this October.
↵Rangers fans should be especially happy after watching Halladay’s historical start. Happy that the Phillies traded Lee and that they traded him to a team that went nowhere in Seattle. Had they not, the Rangers would have been looking at C.J. Wilson starting Game 1 and who knows how that would have went today for Texas.
↵It’s a fun time to be a baseball fan and especially a Rangers fan.
