College Football Rankings Week 6: Texas Longhorns Fall From Top 25

For the first time since October 2000, the Texas Longhorns are unranked in the college football rankings. Voters in both the AP and USA Today polls dropped the Longhorns from the Top 25 following their loss to the Sooners in the Red River Rivalry.

Texas' consecutive ranked weeks streak was the longest in the country, ending at 162 weeks. The Longhorns did receive votes in both polls, however.

Mack Brown and his Longhorns will have a week to regroup. Their next contest doesn't come until October 16th when they visit the seventh-ranked Nebraska Huskers.
