Baylor Bears Breach NCAA Rankings For The First Time In 17 Years

Baylor's 47-42 win over Kansas State Saturday moved the Bears into all major NCAA Rankings for the first time since 1993, when they spent one week in the AP rankings in early September. Baylor sits at #25 in the BCS Rankings and AP poll and #24 in the ESPN/USA Today (coaches) poll.

The Bears have an action packed schedule in their final four weeks. They visit slumping Texas next Saturday night and #17 Oklahoma State on November 6, before hosting Texas A&M and #9 Oklahoma the final two weeks. An improbable sweep of the four games would hand Baylor their first Big 12 south title.

Baylor possesses an electric offense behind QB Robert Griffin and RB Jay Finley. They rank 5th in NCAA in passing yards, 26th in rushing yards, and 20th in points. Griffin ranks 15th in the country in QB rating, while Finley's 697 yards rushing rank 23rd. Receiver Kendall Wright ranks 19th in the country with 648 yards.
