Perspective And Hamilton's History

This is now a three game series where the Yankees have to sweep. They have to sweep with only one game on the road. They have to sweep a team that has outscored them 30-11 with half of the games in their house. They have to sweep their three best pitchers, including a post season legend in the making. And they have to do it without one of their best players, it looks like.

The odds of this happening are something like one-in-ten at best.

If these things do not happen, the Texas Rangers will be playing in the World Series of Baseball.

I would love to go ahead and end this tomorrow afternoon, but even if they don’t the Rangers are still overwhelming favorites to win just a single game.

This is amazing.

As a footnote, Josh Hamilton is now the ninth person to hit four home runs in a Championship Series. He’s the fourth in the AL to do it. That’s in just four games.

One more and he has the LCS record to himself and ties the seven game series record with Reggie Jackson and Chase Utley.

I’m worried about him in the playoffs.
