TCU Rolls Over BYU 31-3, Improves To 7-0

(Sports Network) – Andy Dalton threw for 273 yards and four touchdowns as No. 4 TCU had an easy time dispatching BYU, 31-3, at Carter Stadium.

Dalton, who finished 24-of-36 and was not intercepted, connected with Josh Boyce twice and once each with Jimmy Young and Jeremy Kerley for the Horned Frogs (7-0), who have won the season’s first seven games for the second consecutive campaign. TCU went 12-0 in 2009 before dropping a 17-10 decision to Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl.

Boyce led all receivers with 127 yards on eight catches and Bart Johnson added 59 yards on three receptions. Ed Wesley also contributed 53 yards on 10 rushes for TCU, which has won 21 of its last 22 games dating back to a loss at Utah on November 6, 2008.

Jake Heaps struggled under center, going 14-of-30 for 91 yards and a pair of interceptions for the Cougars (2-5), who slid to their fifth loss in six games.

Bryan Kariya had 57 yards on 12 carries and JJ DiLuigi recorded six catches for 37 yards for BYU, which won at San Diego State last week.
