Rangers Vs. Rays Score Update: Texas Trails, 7-4, After 6 Innings

The Texas Rangers headed into Wednesday night's game with the Tampa Bay Rays looking to finish off a three-game series sweep, but after six innings they trail, 7-4.

Tampa Bay had a 6-0 lead early on. Ben Zobrist hit an RBI double in the first, then Evan Longoria hit a two-run home run in the next at-bat. In the second inning, B.J. Upton hit a three-run home run.

Mitch Moreland hit a two-run home run to make it 6-2 after two innings, Elvis Andrus scored on a fielder's choice in the third and Josh Hamilton hit a solo home run in the fifth to cut the deficit to 6-4. It was Hamilton's 36th homer of the season.

The Rays' Elliot Johnson hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to make it 7-4.

Koji Uehara replaced Texas starter Matt Harrison in the sixth. Harrison gave up seven runs, 12 hits and struck out five in 5.1 innings. The three home runs he allowed were a season-high for Harrison.

Tampa Bay starter Alex Cobb pitched 4.2 innings and gave up four runs and eight hits, striking out three. Burke Badenhop retired one batter to end the fifth inning, and was replaced by Jake McGee in the sixth.
