Rangers, Yankees Mired In Rain Delay

Stay connected for news and updates

The start of Wednesday night's game between the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees is being delayed because of inclement weather -- specifically, a lot of rain.

Per ESPN Dallas, the tarp has been on the field at Yankee Stadium since 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT), with the rain coming down steadily for the past hour. The forecast calls for a 55 percent chance of rain until 8 p.m. CT, when the chance of rain diminishes to 10 percent.

The folks at ESPN were optimistic that the game would start around 7 p.m. CT, but that does not appear likely.

Both Scott Feldman and Freddy Garcia are still expected to start once the game does get underway in the Bronx. The Rangers are looking to bounce back from consecutive losses in New York.
