Texas Rangers starting pitcher Neftali Feliz suffered season-ending Tommy John surgery on Wednesday and now faces a minimum of 12 to 18 months of rehab. Now his focus is on getting back into the lineup as soon as possible:
"It's something that makes you feel bad," said Feliz through an interpreter when asked about his disappointment at having his season come to an end. "But there's nothing you can do about it. I just have to follow my rehab and try to get back as soon as I can."
Feliz made the comments in the clubhouse while having his pitching arm in a sling, and ultimately hopes that he can come back stronger once he heals from the surgery.
