Rangers Vs. Twins: Ian Kinsler Hits Walk-Off Single In The 13th Inning

Stay connected for news and updates

The Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins had to wait a little bit longer than most teams to reach the All-Star break. The two teams played 13 innings on Sunday with Texas prevailing 4-3 on a walk-off single by Ian Kinsler.

The Twins entered the ninth inning up 1-0 and added two more runs on an error and a sacrifice fly with Joe Nathan on the mound.

A 3-run ninth inning lead vanished, though as an RBI groundout by Elvis Andrus and a two-run single by Michael Young tied the game at 3-3.

The score remained that way until there was one out in the 13th inning and Kinsler singled home David Murphy for the win.

The Rangers allowed just one earned run in 13 innings.

After a 52-34 record in the first half of the season, the Rangers will resume play Friday with a series against the Seattle Mariners.
