The Chicago White Sox are going to be sending pitcher Gavin Floyd to go up against the Texas Rangers offense on Sunday evening. Floyd is 8-8 on the year with a 4.46 ERA, and this will be the first time that he has faced the Rangers since April 8. In that game, Floyd went 5.2 innings, allowed five hits and four runs in the loss. Both teams are different at this point in the season.
As for the batting order, the White Sox still have A.J. Pierzynski out, so Tyler Flowers will catch in his place. Gordon Beckham has moved to the lead off spot due to the departure of Eduardo Escobar and the injury of Alejandro De Aza.
