Boston Red Sox Vs. Texas Rangers: Wednesday Starting Lineups

Stay connected for news and updates

The rubber match of a three-game series between the Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox is set to be held on Wednesday night, as the Rangers look to rebound from a frustrating 2-1 loss.

Both Ron Washington and Bobby Valentine had announced the starting lineups, and they are as follows:

Boston Red Sox

CF Jacoby Ellsbury
DH Pedro Ciriaco
2B Dustin Pedroia
1B Adrian Gonzalez
RF Cody Ross
3B Will Middlebrooks
LF Carl Crawford
C Kelly Shoppach
SS Mike Aviles

SP Josh Beckett

Texas Rangers

2B Ian Kinsler
SS Elvis Andrus
DH Josh Hamilton
3B Adrian Beltre
1B Michael Young
RF Nelson Cruz
LF David Murphy
C Yorvit Torrealba
CF Craig Gentry

SP Derek Holland

Despite Hamilton's struggles recently, Rangers manager Ron Washington refuses to drop him in the lineup -- and the same can be said for Michael Young, who probably shouldn't even be starting at this point.

Adrian Beltre passed his concussion tests, a day after being hit in the head by a pitch from Vicente Padilla.
