Stay connected for news and updates

Following an epidural injection in his lower back, Roy Oswalt told the Dallas Morning News his feels 100 percent better.

He was scratched from Monday's start against the Red Sox due to back stiffness, but is hoping to pitch Sunday against the White Sox. From the DMN:

"I'm pretty sure I'll pitch on Sunday," Oswalt said. "I've had this before and I've tried to pitch through it and ended up missing three or four starts. I'm confident we got it early."

Oswalt will throw in the bullpen on Friday and will start Sunday if all goes well. This season, Oswalt has posted a 3-1 record and a 5.22 ERA in five starts with Texas.
