Memories of that other World Series loss could haunt the Rangers, who open a three game set at San Francisco Friday night, a city they've never won in.
There's no escaping comparisons and memories this weekend - Texas will travel to San Francisco for the first time since losing the 2010 World Series, looking to break a seven-game skid to the Giants, the longest for the Rangers against any team. San Francisco is 15-7 all-time against the Rangers, and Texas has never won at AT&T Park.
Matt Harrison is tied for the AL lead in wins with seven, and enters Friday night's start 3-0 in his last three outings, with a 2.48 ERA.
