The Rangers have a healthy lead on division rival Oakland, but the A's arrive playing strong baseball and ready to climb the standings.
Oakland might be ten games behind the Rangers in the AL West, but the A's haven't been playing like a basement team of late. The Athletics arrive in Texas having won two of their last three and 11 of their last 15, not to mention that Oakland is 4-2 against the Rangers and won a series against Texas earlier in the month.
Scott Feldman moves into the rotation in place of the injured Colby Lewis, after working as the team's long reliever. He got his first win of the season against the Padres last Tuesday.
