Stay connected for news and updates

The Texas Rangers have set the the rehab plan for Derek Holland, who is recovering from a shoulder injury. The schedule he's on should have him set to return after the All-Star break.

As Jeff Wilson notes, Holland will throw 50 pitches on Wednesday and then start again on the following Monday. The plan is for him to make at least one more rehab outing after that before he is ready to return.

Before hurting his shoulder, Holland was 5-4 with a 5.10 ERA. He has been on the disabled list since June 5.
