With the first cracks in the Rangers armor showing this season, Texas gives the ball to their most experienced starter, Colby Lewis, on Friday.
Colby Lewis has been one of the best pitchers in all of baseball early in this 2012 season, and he'll take the hill Friday night in Cleveland as the Rangers' road trip continues. He wasn't named pitcher of the month in April, but as MLB.com details, he certainly had a case:
Lewis' 1.93 ERA is the fourth lowest for a Texas pitcher who made at least five starts in the month, and opponents are 0-for-21 against him, with 10 strikeouts with runners in scoring position. He'll be the first Rangers pitcher to be in a position to be a stopper all season: Texas is on its first losing streak of the season, at all of two games.
