After an incredible month of April where they raced ahead of the rest of baseball, the Texas Rangers have hit their first rough patch of the season. With their 11-5 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday afternoon, Texas has now lost two consecutive series as well as dropped two straight games for the first time in 2012.
Their struggles have started on the mound, as Matt Harrison lasted only 3.1 innings, giving up 8 earned runs and 8 hits.
Scott Feldman could not stem the bleeding either, giving up 3 runs in 2.2 innings of relief work.
Elvis Andrus, who got his first start at DH this season, had the hot bat, crushing a double with the bases loaded to drive in 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning.
