Rangers Vs. Blue Jays Update: Matt Harrison Chased In Fourth Inning

The Texas Rangers pitching staff continued their struggles north of the border on Wednesday, as Matt Harrison lasted only 3.1 innings against the Toronto Blue Jays.

After an excellent start to the season, the normally reliable left-hander has fallen apart in his last two starts. After giving up 14 hits and 6 earned runs against the Tampa Bay Rays over the weekend, Harrison was shelled on Wednesday, giving up 8 hits and 8 earned runs.

When Harrison left, Texas trailed 8-1, with their only run coming on a second-inning solo HR from Brandon Snyder.

However, just as what happened on Tuesday night, the Rangers bats caught fire after they had fallen behind, with Elvis Andrus driving in two runs as part of a 4-run inning in the top of the fifth. Toronto ace Ricky Romero had handled the Texas lineup fairly well in the previous four innings.

Scott Feldman has come in relief of Harrison for the Rangers, who are now down 8-5.
