The Rangers have absolutely dominated the Silver Boot battle with Houston, and they'll look to raise the trophy again starting with a a three-game series at the Astros.
Texas will pay a visit to their soon-to-be AL West division rivals, the Houston Astros, for a renewal of the very lopsided Silver Boot series, starting Friday night. The Rangers have won 14 of the last 18 games against their in-state rivals, and the Astros haven't raised the Boot since the 2006 season. The weekend series will be the first of six games between the teams this year, with a three game tilt in Arlington scheduled for June.
Rangers manager Ron Washington rested Josh Hamilton on Thursday, but the outfielder is expected to play on Friday.
