Rangers Vs. Athletics: Oakland Takes Game Two From Texas In Extra Innings

Stay connected for news and updates

The Oakland A's swept the two game series with the Texas Rangers this afternoon even though it took two extra innings to do so as they came away with the victory by a final score of 5-4.

The A's jumped out early with three runs in the first inning, but Texas would cut the lead to one with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and then took the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning with another two runs. But Oakland tied the game up with a run in the top of the seventh inning and won the game on a Kila Ka'aihue single that brought in Jonny Gomes.

The Rangers now move on to Houston to face the Astros in a three game road series that starts Friday night.
