After a lot of hype and build-up, the Rangers and Angels finally will meet for the first time this season, and Friday's lineups have been announced.
The Rangers lost four of their first six on a 10-game road trip, but finished strong by taking three of four in Baltimore. Texas and Los Angeles were supposed to be two of the top teams in baseball this year. Only one of those teams has lived up to the billing.
At 21-11, the Rangers have the best record in baseball. By comparison, the Angels are in last place in the AL West at 14-18. Former Ranger C.J. Wilson is on the mound for Los Angeles, while Texas is sending out his "replacement," Yu Darvish.
