Rangers Vs. Orioles Final Score: Baltimore Wins First Game In Double-Header With Texas, 6-5

Stay connected for news and updates

In the first game of their double-header, the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Texas Rangers this afternoon by a final score of 6-5.

After scoring three runs early in the first inning, the Orioles added three more in the bottom of the seventh inning on an Adam Jones home run and a two-run blast from Wilson Betemit that also scored Matt Wieters.

The Rangers would score a run in the top of the eighth inning on an Adrian Beltre RBI single that brought in Elvis Andrus to cut the score to 6-2. Texas then made things very interesting in the top of the ninth on a three-run home run blast from David Murphy that also brought in Nelson Cruz and Yorvit Torrealba to cut the score to 6-5.

But the rally fell short when Andrus struck out on the Rangers last at-bat.

Game two of the double-header will begin shortly. Stay tuned for more updates.
