One of the best Rangers of all-time, Pudge Rodriguez is now set to retire with Texas on Monday, prior to Texas' game against the New York Yankees.

Ivan Rodriguez' storied career is coming to an end next week. Rodriguez is set to retire with the Texas Rangers, and will do so in a pre-game ceremony on Monday prior to Texas' game against the New York Yankees.

Rodriguez played for the Rangers between 1991 and 2002. Pudge was a ten-time All-Star selection as a member of the Rangers, and also won 10 Gold Glove awards with Texas.

Rodriguez also won one MVP award with the Rangers, winning it in 1999. That year, Rodriguez hit .332/.356/.558, belting 35 home runs, driving in 113 runs and stealing 25 bases -- all the while providing Gold Glove defense behind the plate.

After the 2002 season, Rodriguez signed a contract with the then Florida Marlins, where he immediately won a World Series title. Pudge then signed with Tigers, spending four-plus years with Detroit before being traded to the Yankees in 2008. Rodriguez was named to four more All-Star teams with the Tigers, winning three more Gold Glove awards.

Pudge did come back to the Rangers in 2009, hitting .245 with two home runs in 98 at bats.

Rodriguez' playing career ended as a member of the Washington Nationals, where he spent parts of the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

Now on Monday, Rodriguez will come back to Texas one last time -- this time, to retire as a member of the Texas Rangers, where he will be rightfully remembered as one of the best Rangers in franchise history, if not the best.
