Gary Darling will be the crew chief for Friday's wild card game between the Rangers and Orioles.

The Texas Rangers welcome the Baltimore Orioles to Arlington on Friday evening for a one-game playoff for the American League wild card, and the MLB has announced the umpiring crew for the game.

Gary Darling, a veteran of nine division series, four league championship series and two World Series, will be behind home plate for the game. Jerry Lane will be at first base, a veteran of six division series, four league championship series and two world series. Ted Barrett will be at second base, with Bill Miller at third base.

Greg Gibson and Chris Guccione are in the outfield, with Guccione the only member of the crew to have not worked a World Series.

Texas starting pitcher Yu Darvish has pitched with Darling behind the plate twice this season, once against Detroit and once against the Los Angeles Angels. Darvish was 2-0 with a 3.86 ERA, 21 strikeouts and five walks in the two games.

First pitch is set for 7:37 p.m. CT.
