Borbon has been frustrating this year, but David Murphy in centerfield is not a good thing. It is unfortunate that Borbon cannot hit his way out of wet bag, but he is the best guy Texas has who can competently handle centerfield. Starting Murphy there is not a good situation. Pray no fly balls head to center, and that Endy Chavez is at 100% soon. In the mean time, I am unconvinced the offensive gain is worth brutal outfield defense.
Piling on the iffy centerfield in the same game where Michael Young plays at second does not seem particularly inspiring, either.
