Off the strength of their pitching and two first inning home runs, the Tigers just kicked the Yankees out of the playoffs to win their ALDS three games to two, and setting the Rangers' ALCS opponent.

This gives the Rangers homefield advantage throughout the American League playoffs. It also gives them their fourth ever postseason opponent.

The Yankees have not beaten a first round opponent outside of the Twins since the Jeter flip series against Oakland in 2001.

Make your plans for games one and two this weekend!
