Rangers Vs. Cardinals Score: Game 6 Tied 2-2 After Two Innings

The Texas Rangers wasted little time in grabbing a lead in the Game 6 of the 2011 World Series. Josh Hamilton's first inning single put Texas on top 1-0 against St. Louis Cardinals' starter Jaime Garcia.

The first three Rangers hitters reached before Garcia could right the ship and escaped the inning with minimal damage. Ian Kinsler walked to lead off the inning and Elvis Andrus followed with a single to put runners at the corners. Hamilton gave Texas the lead with his RBI single. Garcia then struck out Michael Young and Adrian Beltre before getting Nelson Cruz to ground out to end the inning.

St. Louis answered right back in the bottom half of the inning against Texas starter Colby Lewis. Skip Schumaker singled and Lance Berkman homered to left center with two outs to put the Cardinals in front 2-1. Lewis struck out David Freese to end the inning.

Texas right back to work in the second inning as Mike Napoli worked a lead off walk from Garcia. Craig Gentry followed with a single to put two on with nobody out. Garcia then got Colby Lewis to bunt into a 5-6-4 double play which featured a rocket throw from Rafel Furcal at third base and across the diamond. However, Garcia didn't fully escape as Ian Kinsler followed with a ground-rule double to left that scored Craig Gentry to tie the game.
