The No. 14 Texas Longhorns lead Ole Miss 31-10 at the half, with a number of big plays allowing Texas to pull away in the second quarter.
David Ash was aggressive and in control, going 10-of-11 for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Ash showed once again that while he might not be the flashiest quarterback that Texas has had under center, he's more than capable of leading his team down the field without committing any damaging mistakes.
Ole Miss utilized a few big plays of their own to pull to within 10-7 and 17-10 in the second quarter, before the Longhorns defense used an aggressive pass rush and an opportunistic playmaking secondary to upset the rhythm that quarterback Bo Wallace was gaining.
Marquise Goodwin has a 69-yard end-around for a touchdown, with the Longhorns putting up 189 yards rushing for the half. So far, the Longhorns are outgaining Ole Miss 285-179.
