The 2012 Texas Longhorns football squad is ranked No. 13 by the latest SB Nation Studios college football preview video. It points out, as many have, the Longhorns have a defense that will keep them competitive. But offensively there are obvious question marks at the quarterback position, which was a glaring problem for Texas in 2011.

Adding Johnathan Gray into the mix will benefit the Longhorns, but only to a certain degree if there is no balance in that offensive attack. If Texas can't get the ball down field, Gray and other backs will be staring at stack after stack.

West Virginia vs. Texas is also predicted to be an exciting matchup, with Dana Holgersen's high flying offense challenging Manny Diaz's stout defense. That game is Oct. 6 in Austin, so mark you calendar and check out this video after the jump.
