The Texas Longhorns needed another signature win to assure them an at-large berth to the NCAA tournament, but that was not to be as the Kansas Jayhawks defeated the Texas Longhorns 73-63. Now Texas will need win a game ori two in the Big 12 conference tournament to get into the Big Dance.
In Saturday's game, Texas was always hanging around with Kansas, but they could never get back in this game. Texas' J'Covan Brown led the way for the Longhorns with 33 points but it was not enough to keep up with the Kansas duo of Thomas Robinson who had 25 points and Tyshawn Taylor who had 22 points.
The worst news of the game came when senior Alexis Wangmene fell awkwardly and likely broke his wrist on this play early in the second half.
Be warned the photo is graphic:
With that injury it is likel that Wangmene is out for the season.
