A Busy News Day For Texas Commit Cameron Ridley

Stay connected for news and updates

Two notable bits of news about Texas basketball commit Cameron Ridley came out of the practices for the McDonald's All-American Game in Chicago.

First, the good:

Ridley, a five-star 6'10 230 center from Houston, had undoubtedly been giving the Texas coaching staff heartburn since he didn't sign a National Letter of Intent during the fall signing period, opening up the possibility of another school swooping him up at the last minute.

Now, the bad:

DraftExpress is the most widely respected national publication that covers the NBA Draft, particularly when it comes to high school players, as very little game tape exists for most media services to fairly scout even the highest prospects.

If Ridley really is struggling with his conditioning and athleticism, he choose the right school in Texas, which features one of the best basketball S&C programs in the country under Todd Wright.
