Two notable bits of news about Texas basketball commit Cameron Ridley came out of the practices for the McDonald's All-American Game in Chicago.

First, the good:

Cameron Ridley said he will sign with the University of Texas and be a Longhorn. He made that clear.

Ridley, a five-star 6'10 230 center from Houston, had undoubtedly been giving the Texas coaching staff heartburn since he didn't sign a National Letter of Intent during the fall signing period, opening up the possibility of another school swooping him up at the last minute.

Now, the bad:

Regarding realistic expectations, Cameron Ridley is a good candidate for that. Really struggling here in Chicago athletically & skill-wise.
