After a convincing 75-64 win over Kansas State on Saturday, Texas' season appears to be back on track.

For the first time all year, the Longhorns road to an at-large spot in the NCAA Tournament is clear: at 16-9 overall and 6-6 in conference play, they can't afford to finish any worse than 4-2 down the stretch to set themselves up for a chance to earn a ticket to the Big Dance with a strong performance in the Big 12 Tournament.

And with games against No. 10 Baylor and at No. 5 Kansas remaining, that means the Longhorns need to take care of business at Oklahoma Tuesday night.

The Sooners, in their first year under head coach Lon Kruger, have begun to rebound from the depths the program sunk in the last two years of the Jeff Capel era. At 13-11, they've been feisty in Norman, with wins over Arkansas, Kansas State and a one point loss to Cincinnati at home this season.

Oklahoma's main scorers are both juniors: 6'4 guard Steven Pledger, a pure shooter averaging 17.2 points a game while shooting 44.3% from the three-point line and 6'8 forward Andrew Fitzgerald, a big man who can score on the low block as well as step out and hit a 15-foot jumper.

However, neither player is great at creating his own shot, and the Sooners offense is prone to going into long scoring droughts, which happened in Oklahoma's ugly 65-47 road loss at Texas Tech, the Red Raiders only Big 12 win this season.

The key for Texas will be to keep their offense humming on the road, which has been a struggle as they depend so heavily on production from three freshman -- Myck Kabongo, Julien Lewis and Sheldon McClellan -- in the back-court.

The 7:00 PM game will be televised regionally on the Big 12 Network and streamed online at ESPN3.
