Not The Best Junior Day For Longhorns

Stay connected for news and updates

The Texas Longhorns held their first Junior Day, and, unlike in recent years, Mack Brown collected zero commitmentson his ten offers. Brown reportedly offered Tyrone Swoopes and Ra'Shaad Samples scholarships, headlining a set of skill players. He has some ground to make up to match his past two opening days.

The Longhorns had five verbal commitments by the time the weekend of its first Junior Day was over last year while six others who attended that Junior Day eventually committed to play for Texas. In 2010, the 'Horns racked up 13 pledges, including a couple from Belton quarterback David Ash and Brownwood receiver Jaxon Shipley, after holding their first Junior Day of 2010.

Texas will host their second Junior Day one week from Saturday, February 25.
