2012 National Signing Day: Texas Longhorns Waiting On Commitment From 4- And 5-Star Recruits

National Signing Day is when highly sought high school football players from around the country officially announce where they will be playing football in college. College football is of couse a big business and major universities pull out all the stops to convince the nation's best recruits to come to their schools. The Texas Longhorns are no exception. As National Signing Day approaches, there are 25 committed recruits who have not yet signed, including two five-star recruits and several four-star recruits, with the Longhorns that will be making their announcements.

The two five-star recruits are running back Johnathan Gray and defensive tackle Malcom Brown. Gray, 5-foot-11 and 190-pounds, is ranked No. 5 on Rivals.com's Top-100 high school football recruits. The Aledo, Texas native ran for 3,891 yards for 65 touchdowns in 2011. Brown, 6-foot-2, 280-pounds, is ranked No. 26 on the Top-100 list and finished the Under Armour game with four tackles, including one for a loss.

Some other recruits include quarterback Connor Brewer, linebacker Tomonthy Cole and offensive lineman Camrhon Hughes.
