Bill Snyder's Kansas State Wildcats are in the driver's seat for the Big 12 title, and a date in the BCS National Championship Game.
The Kansas State Wildcats find themselves atop the BCS standings -- and naturally, atop the Big 12 standings -- as regular season play in college football begins to wind down.
The Wildcats are a perfect 10-0 on the season, and 7-0 in Big 12 play so far this season. Bill Snyder's club has just two games remaining -- a date in Waco, Texas, on Saturday against the Baylor Bears, and a home game on Dec. 1 against the Texas Longhorns.
Kansas State needs just one win to clinch the Big 12 conference, thanks to holding the tiebreaker over the Oklahoma Sooners.
Texas, meanwhile, will hope to climb to second in the conference during the last two weeks of the season, and perhaps position itself for a chance at a BCS game. Texas has dates against TCU and Kansas St. remaining on the schedule, but would certainly need some help. Oklahoma holds the tiebreaker over Texas, and leads by one game in the loss column in the standings. The Sooners have games against West Virginia, Oklahoma State and TCU remaining.
