In 2002, Missouri made the Elite Eight as a 12 seed, the lowest seed to ever make it that far. Richmond would have to go through Kansas to make that happen, but it's something that's a possibility this year. Of course everyone remembers George Mason making the Final Four as an 11 seed, a feet Marquette and Virginia Commonwealth would like to repeat. Florida State would have to make the title game to set a low mark, but a double digit seed this late is still a big deal. Butler could tie Villanova's 1985 run if they get to (and win) the championship, but an eight seed is barely a Cinderella in this round.
↵A quarter of the teams remaining are double-digit seeds. For which one does the slipper fit?
