The TCU Horned Frogs will play in their first-ever Big 12 conference game on Saturday, as Gary Patterson's team heads to Kansas to take on the Jayhawks.

After years in the Mountain West Conference, TCU agreed to join the Big East in late 2010, before deciding to join the Big 12 instead in October of 2011.

TCU's first test in the Big 12 shouldn't be too difficult. The Jayhawks are 1-1 on the young season, winning 31-17 over South Dakota State in the season opener, before dropping last week's contest to Rice, 25-24.

The Horned Frogs have only played one game so far in 2012 -- and they played as good of a game as a team can play, dismantling Grambling State, 56-0.

Though the Jayhawks are almost certainly an inferior team to TCU, they should provide for a much more difficult challenge than Grambling State.

Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT. Televised coverage can be found on FX.
