Baylor Bears wide receiver Josh Gordon continues to generate buzz leading up to the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft. Gordon held his pro day workout on Tuesday at the Houston Texans training facility and at final tally, a full 21 NFL teams sent representatives to watch the workout.
Tony Pauline of Sports Illustrated reports that Gordon had a very solid performance. He performed 13 reps on bench press, displayed a 36-inch vertical jump, weighed in at 224 pounds and ran the 40 in 4.52 seconds. He appeared to hurt his quad during the run, but Adam Caplan followed up, clarifying that it was just a pulled muscle.
Gordon was able to run all routes during the workout, despite the pulled muscle and didn't drop any catches. It seems clear that at least one team will be willing to take a chance on him.
