CBI Tournament 2012: TCU's Season Ends With 101-81 Loss To Oregon State
One of TCU basketball's best seasons in recent memory ended in disappointing fashion Monday, as the Horned Frogs never really challenged Oregon State in the second round of the CBI Tournament.

The run is over for the TCU Horned Frogs who saw their season end with a 101-81 loss to Oregon State in the quarterfinals of the CBI Tournament.
Oregon State jumped out to a big lead over TCU taking a 53-34 advantage into halftime. The Beavers hit over 63 percent of their shots in the game and controlled it throughout.
Oregon State got 27 points from Jared Cunningham and 22 points from Angus Brandt. Devon Collier added 19 points and Joe Burton 10 for the Beavers.
TCU finishes the season with an 18-15 record.

The 2012 CBI Tournament rolls into its quarterfinal round on Monday, with the TCU Horned Frogs are still in the hunt for the trophy, thanks to their 83-73 win over Milwaukee in the first round.
They'll head to Corvallis to take on their quarterfinal opponents, the Oregon St. Beavers, who advanced by blowing out Western Illinois last Wednesday.
Monday night's game will tip off at 10:00 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on HDNet.

TCU advances to the second round of the CBI Tournament with a 83-73 win over Milwaukee. The Horned Frogs took a 38-30 lead at halftime and were able to pull away late for the win. TCU will play the winner of the Oregon State-Western Illinois matchup that takes place on Wednesday.
Craig Williams and Amric Fields scored 15 points to lead the Horned Frogs. Hank Thorns added 13 while J.R. Cadot and Garlon Green finished with 11 each. Nate Butler rounded out TCU scorers in double figures with 10.
Tony Meier led Milwaukee with 18 points while James Haarsma added 17. Kaylon Williams added 14 points off the bench in the loss.
TCU improves to 18-14 on the season while Milwaukee drops to 20-14.
Although a late-season run that featured several wins against ranked Mountain West Conference opponents wasn't enough to get TCU into the NCAA's or the NIT, they were able to make a post-season berth with a spot in the 2012 CBI Tournament.
The Horned Frogs will face the Milwaukee Panthers in the opening round on Tuesday, March 13.
The game will tip off at 7:00 PM at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Ft. Worth. Although it will not be televised, you can listen to the live play-by-play at 88.7 FM (KTCU).
