The TCU Horned Frogs will host Oklahoma this Saturday in a pivotal Big 12 season finale for both teams.
Hoping to cap their first year in the Big 12 on a high note, the TCU Horned Frogs will square off with a talented Oklahoma team on Saturday to wrap up the regular season.
The Horned Frogs went into Austin and pulled off a 20-13 win over Texas on Thanksgiving to even their record at 4-4 in conference play, and now will try to keep that momentum going strong with a high-octane Sooners offense coming to town. Although they narrowly avoided an upset to rival Oklahoma State on Saturday, the Sooners are averaging an impressive 47.67 points per game over their last three contests.
Gary Patterson's team is currently slotted to face Oregon State in the Holiday Bowl according to SB Nation's latest batch of bowl projections, but another big win would stand to significantly boost TCU's bowl resume. Freshman quarterback Trevone Boykin will once again be relied upon heavily as a dual-threat under center, as the 6'2 Mesquite, Texas native is coming off a career-high 77 rushing yards in the win over Texas.
