Texas Tech vs. TCU Odds: Frogs are slight home underdogs

Despite opening as 3-point favorites, heavy action in Vegas has made TCU a 2.5-point home underdog in their game against Texas Tech on Saturday.

The Red Raiders, after flying under the radar for the first part of the season, made a splash on the national stage last week, when they stunned West Virginia 49-14 and put serious dent in Geno Smith's Heisman hopes.

Tommy Tuberville's defense had their best showing in his time in Lubbock, but they'll be tested by a TCU offense that looked much improved in Trevone Boykin's second career start against Baylor.

Thanks in part to 4 INT's from Nick Florence, the Frogs scored 49 points against the Bears, with Boykin putting together an impeccable stat line: completing 22-30 passes for 261 yards, 4 TDs and 0 INTs.

A lack of turnovers was the biggest difference between Boykin's play in their loss to Iowa State the week before, and the turnover battle may prove to be decisive on Saturday as well.

With two programs who pride themselves on their defense squaring off, the over/under for Saturday's game is only 56, which could end up being one of the lowest totals in Big 12 play all season long.
