SMU quarterback Kyle Padron has transferred to Eastern Washington University after he missed most of the 2011 season with the Mustangs with a back injury.
According to ESPN College Football reporter, SMU Mustangs quarterback Kyle Padron is transferting to Eastern Washington University where he will play quarterback for the Eagles.

Schad tweeted that Padron is transferring to EWU to prepare for the next phase of his career. He said that the Eagles' system "prepares a quarterback to get to the next level."
In 2010 Padron 3,828 yards and 31 touchdowns as a sophomore, but after being benched in the first game of the 2011 and eventually suffering a season-ending back injury two games later, the team turned to J.J. McDermott, who started the rest of the year and threw for 3,421 yards and 17 touchdowns.
