Texas Rangers third baseman won his fourth Gold Glove award -- and his second in as many years with the Rangers.
Beltre was voted the American League's top defender at the hot corner by managers and coaches throughout the league. Though the award seems to have dwindling value, it's still one of Major League Baseball's major postseason awards -- and the voters, in Beltre's case, did make the proper selection.
Beltre posted a DRS (defensive runs saved) of 13 this year, which is the same exact total that he had in 2011. Beltre's UZR/150 of 15.1 is down from 17.0 in 2011, but still remains an excellent number.
Beltre also won the Gold Glove in 2007 and 2008, when he was a member of the Seattle Mariners.
