Stars Vs. Canucks Final Score: Dallas Stays Red Hot With 5-2 Win

Dallas improved to 7-0-1 in their last eight games with arguably their most impressive win of that span, a 5-2 victory over Western Conference leading Vancouver on the road Tuesday night. Mike Ribeiro had two goals, three points and an assist as the Stars' front line continued their high scoring ways. After a scoreless first period, Loui Eriksson tied the game at 1-1 in the second with a power play goal, and the Stars never looked back.

Ribeiro told NHL.com the win was all about working "the plan" for odd-man rushes:

"Keep following the game plan, stay patient and most of the time teams will break and make a mistake and that's when you can score," Ribeiro said. "Our game plan was top stay above the puck and not give those guys odd-man rushes because they have so much skills and we won battles on the boards to create odd-man rushes (the other way) and we capitalized on a few of them."

Rookie goaltender Richard Bachman got the win in net, starting for only the second time in 17 games and finishing with a .935 save percentage. The Stars rested starter Kari Lehtonen for a division showdown with San Jose later this week.
