Dallas looks to gain even more ground in the playoff race when they face the Western Conference's best team in Vancouver.

A three-year playoff drought could come to an end for the Dallas Stars, who enter the home stretch of the NHL regular season in seventh place in the Western Conference standings, most recently thanks to a 3-2 win over Calgary. Dallas, winners of six of their last seven games, will end a three game road trip looking for a perfect sweep and six total points when they face Vancouver, who is in the hunt for their second consecutive President's Trophy and the No. 1 seed in the West.

The Stars' surge since the All-Star break has been aided by the scoring of their front line of Loui Eriksson, Mike Ribeiro and Michael Ryder, who entered Sunday's game against Calgary combining for 45 points (18-27-45, respectively). Against Calgary, Eriksson had a big day, adding a goal, assist and a backhanded deke in the shootout to his season totals in the win.
