The Stars are headed for a photo-finish down the stretch of the NHL's final week in the regular season. To capture a playoff berth - or the Pacific Division title - they'll need every point possible, especially against rival San Jose.

March Madness continues for the Dallas Stars, who dropped from third to seventh place after a 5-2 loss at Vancouver Friday night. To stay alive for either the Pacific Division crown and an automatic No. 3 seed or wildcard berth as either the No. 7 or No. 8 seed, Dallas desperately needs points. They'll begin a crucial home-and-home series with the Sharks (currently in ninth place and one point out of the final playoff spot) Saturday night in San Jose. Michael Ryder leads the Stars with 35 goals, including five points in his last four games. Center Mike Ribeiro (on Ryder's line) also has five points in four games.
